"I Can't Do Anything Thing with This Market Segmentation!"
Copernicus' Henry Gamse offers help to frustrated marketers to make market segmentation research more relevant and actionable across different marketing functions
November 25, 2009 (Boston, MA)—Join Henry Gamse, a veteran of over 500 B2B and B2C segmentations, on Thursday, December 3, 2009, as he tackles the common frustrations marketers have with their market segmentation efforts:

Marketers invest quite a bit of time and resources into market segmentation exercises, and with good reason. As Henry explains, "a good segmentation provides a company with clear direction on which group of buyers represents the best target—one which has a high economic value to a company and can be easily identified in the population or in customer databases. If a segmentation meets these requirements, it will pay for itself many times over."
Yet for all the initial enthusiasm, many marketers feel exceedingly disappointed with the outcome when they can't used the segmentation to make the targeting decision, or use it to guide the sales force or media plan.
"It's this lack of actionability which drives marketers crazy," says Henry. It renders many segmentation reports—which are usually gargantuan print-outs housed in colorful three-ring binders—little more than expensive doorstops."
To relieve marketers' frustrations, Henry will outline the key attributes of successful segmentations, those that have led to a marketing strategy that significantly grows sales and profits. In particular, he will describe eye-opening, logical measures every marketer can use to assess the value of different buyers to their brand, as well as how to integrate sales and media databases into the research.
Attendees of the live seminar will have the opportunity to ask Henry questions about things they can do to make their segmentations more relevant, powerful, and actionable.
